Sources, Citations, and Methodology
Every APY on this site is sourced from the issuer's rate sheet where it is published in readable form, and otherwise from the major rate trackers (Bankrate, NerdWallet, DepositAccounts) for the same week. Every FDIC rule cited links to FDIC.gov. Every rate-environment figure links to FRED or the FOMC.

Methodology
Rate verification: We re-verify each APY against the issuer's own rate sheet where it is published in readable form, and otherwise against the major rate trackers (Bankrate, NerdWallet, DepositAccounts) for the same week -- many issuer pages render their rate via JavaScript and cannot be read directly. Every row in our rate tables includes the issuer's source URL. Promotional and tiered rates are flagged in the per-row notes, and rates change frequently, so confirm the current figure on the issuer's page before opening.
Ranking methodology: HYSA and MMA tables are ranked by APY descending as the primary sort. Tie-breaking: lower minimum opening deposit wins, then lower monthly fee wins. We do not accept payment for ranking position.
Affiliate disclosure: Where present, affiliate or referral links are clearly marked with rel=sponsored and an inline disclosure. Affiliate relationships have no effect on ranking position or data accuracy.
FDIC data: All FDIC coverage rules cited to FDIC.gov directly. We do not paraphrase FDIC rules without citation. Ownership category rules effective as of 2026.
